Summary: Some of the cancers that most often affect women are breast, colon, endometrial, lung, cervical, skin, and ovarian cancers. Breast cancer is the most common cancer that women may face in their lifetime aside from skin cancer. It affects women of any age and the risk goes up as they get older. In addition, cervical cancer can affect any woman who is or has been sexually active and is also prevalent among women with a history of human papilloma virus (HPV), as it is a sexually transmitted virus. This webinar will provide an overview of these cancers, illustrate early detection programs in two Public Housing Primary Care Health Centers and provide resources for patients and clinicians.
