This session is based on “Preparing Hospitals and Clinics for the Psychological Consequences of a Terrorist Incident or other Public Health Emergency”, a training developed by LA County EMS in collaboration with the Rand Corporation.

Objectives:

  • Identify the triggers of psychological distress during a disaster
  • Describe what psychological effects to expect during an emergency
  • Devise strategies for preparing my facility to better respond to the psychological effects of a disaster
