Addressing Violence in Public Housing Communities: Case Examples of Violence Prevention and Intervention Strategies
The purpose of this report is to provide Health Centers located in or immediately accessible to public housing with best practices and examples of violence prevention and intervention programs that can be implemented in their communities. NCHPH conducted background research on violence and crime statistics from the Federal Bureau of Investigation Uniform Crime Reporting Program, interviewed four Health Center staff, and analyzed the interviews to identify overlapping themes, lessons learned, and successful strategies used to address and prevent violence.

Bridging the Digital Divide: Using Technology to Improve Access to Health Care for Public Housing Residents
The purpose of this report is to outline the digital needs and challenges of public housing residents, the risks and benefits of using technology to improve patient care, and recommendations on how to prepare health centers and patients to optimize digital tools, improve access to care, and enhance efforts through partnerships to bridge the digital divide.

Cervical Cancer Prevention Strategies in Public Housing Primary Care Settings
Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer among women and one of the most preventable and treatable cancers worldwide. In 2014, approximately 12,578 women were diagnosed with cervical cancer in the U.S. and 4,115 women died from the disease. Data Discovery: Snapshot of Social Determinants of Health in Public Housing Primary Care Communities
This brief describes the findings of an online mapping resource that shows the distribution of Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) indicators across counties with Public Housing Primary Care (PHPC) health centers. The publication will summarize the importance of SDOH on the behavioral health of public housing residents, highlight the online mapping resource developed by National Center for Health in Public Housing (NCHPH), and describe the geographic distribution of SDOH-related indicators that impact behavioral health in counties with PHPC health centers.

Increasing Access to Healthy Food and Exercise in Public Housing Communities: Examples from Public Housing Primary Care Grantees
The National Center for Health in Public Housing convened two learning collaboratives in 2018–2019 comprised of Public Housing Primary Care Grantees to explore strategies and programs that increased access to healthy food,exercise and weight control models.Approximately 15 participants discussed ways to manage diabetes and obesity through programs that address education and support, nutrition, and physical activity. Findings from those discussions are summarized in this report.
