People with mental illness, substance use disorders (SUDs), or both are at increased risk for developing diabetes, a chronic metabolic disease with numerous long-term health consequences. Untreated behavioral health disorders can exacerbate diabetes symptoms and complications. This webinar discussed how behavioral health providers can help patients with diabetes and identify successful interventions that can be used for people with diabetes.
