Impact of the End of the COVID Public Health Emergency on Residents of HUD-Assisted Housing

With the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency set to expire on May 11, 2023, there are big changes in store for the Public Housing and HUD-assisted communities. As of April 1, 2023, states have restarted yearly Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) eligibility reviews, and the Emergency Allotments for Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) just ended in March 2023.
The National Center for Health in Public Housing (NCHPH), the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) hosted a webinar for participants to learn more about the impact of:
