Roughly 4 percent of men and women will be diagnosed with colorectal cancer during their lifetimes. For health centers, screening is the primary tool available to protect their patients from this devastating condition.

In this webinar, Dr. Kevin Michael Lombardi MD, MPH, Fide Pineda Sandoval CHES took a patient-centered and scientific approach to utilizing Community Health Workers (CHWs) to drive colorectal cancer screening and patient engagement with primary care medical services.

Participants engaged with key foundational research and promising practices which provide a structure for effective CHW use in driving improvements in colorectal screening. They also had an opportunity to interact with and share practices with our hosts, guests and their fellow participants as we reviewed detailed clinical case studies and translational exercises designed to support, encourage and develop clinical and operational management skills.
