Oropharyngeal cancer poses a growing health risk, particularly for individuals living in medically underserved communities. This national webinar, presented by the National Center for Health in Public Housing (NCHPH) and the National Network for Oral Health Access (NNOHA), highlighted best practices for integrating oropharyngeal cancer screening into dental and primary care settings. Participants learned to identify key risk factors such as tobacco use and Human Papillomavirus (HPV) infection and explored prevention strategies in health center settings including HPV vaccination and patient education to support early detection and improved health center patient outcomes.
