Syndemics occur when multiple health conditions such as HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) interact and intensify health risks among medically underserved populations. This national webinar presented by the National Center for Health in Public Housing examined how housing instability, food insecurity, substance use disorders (SUDs), community violence, and limited access to care contribute to syndemics in health center communities including public housing and shared practical strategies to strengthen patient-centered care and coordinated clinical responses.
